PEARSON - On Sunday, May 28, 2006, Dolores (Dolly) Jean Pearson (nee Erhardt), late of Saltcoats, Saskatchewan passed away at the age of 67 after a courageous battle with cancer.

She is survived by her husband, Les, her children, Sean (Sara) and Lezlie (Chris), her brother, Windy (Vivian), her sister, Sandy (Bill), and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends from coast-to-coast.         Dolly was born on August 5, 1938, in Melville, Saskatchewan.  With the onset of World War II, the family moved to Hamilton, Ontario and settled with a wonderful family, the Fahey's.  They then returned to Melville after the War, where Dolly grew up and received her education before venturing out into the busy world.  Dolly first met her husband, Les, in 1956.  They found each other, once again, in 1959 and were married in 1960.  They began their lives together in Yorkton before moving to Regina, where they were blessed with the arrival of Sean in 1966.  They spent a short stint in Humboldt, where Lezlie arrived in 1968, before moving to Saskatoon.  The family finally settled in Prince Albert in 1969, where Dolly and Les ran an electrical company together for 28 years.  Dolly was always involved in the community and schools, covering Brownies, Cubs, play-days, recitals, softball, hockey, haunted houses, camp, and also found time to act as Treasurer for the Midtown Community Club for many years.  Dolly's life was full of adventures, as she loved to travel and entertain.  Whether it be Waikiki Beach, Rincon de Guayabitos, Auntie Kay's in Florida, Australia, or the Narrows in Waskesiu, she zestfully embraced the diversity of land, people, and life.  Upon retirement, Dolly and Les sold everything but their truck and 5th wheel trailer and planned on spending a year of travel.  A single year changed to eight of travelling to favourite places, including White Rock, BC, Emma Lake, the Maritimes, Scotland, and England. They finally decided to have a home base and settle in the picturesque town of Saltcoats, where they made and had many wonderful friends.

Dolly's affect was far reaching, and her spirit, wit, and grace inspired us all.  She will be deeply missed.

A memorial service was held on Thursday, June 1st,  at the Saltcoats United Church with Rev. Walter Farquharson officiating. The organist,  Ruth Datema and pianist, Lorne Neal led Saltcoats United Church in the singing of the hymns, "Come and Find The Quiet Center", "The Lord's My Shepherd", "Make Me a Channel of Your Peace", "Teach Me God to Wonder", and
