ZRUDLO - Andrew (Andy) Zrudlo of the Wroxton district passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2006 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre at the age of 68 years. Andy was born on the family farm on December 13, 1937 to Steve and Alice (nee Wintonyk) Zrudlo. He attended Chaucer School and then helped his father on the farm.
Andy had various occupations during his life, some being farmer, caterpiller operator and truck driver. He was mechanically minded and was meticulous in everything he did. He loved motorcycles, fall suppers and Sunday drives. Andy was a pleasant, friendly person and loved a visit over a cup of coffee.
Andy and his wife Linda had one daughter, Starla and Andy and Velma Cote had a daughter, Lawanda.
He was predeceased by his parents Steve and Alice Zrudlo, and by two older brothers.
He is survived by his daughters Starla and Lawanda; his grandchildren Lance, Avery, Velma and Tylo Cote of Saskatoon, SK; his friend Marie Rusnak of Yorkton and his cousins Victoria McGuire of Regina, Pauline Page of Saltcoats, David Zrudlo of Stornoway, Mary Zrudlo of Yorkton, Peter Ellaschuk of Regina, Boris Wintonyk of Hamilton, ON, Miles Wintonyk of Stornoway, Cynthia Wintonyk of Yorkton and Mervin Wintonyk of Calgary, AB.
The funeral service was held on Friday, January 20th at Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre with Very Rev. Bryan Bayda, C.Ss.R. of St. Mary's Church officiating. The cantor, Walter Balabuk assisted by choir members from Calder led in the singing of the responses. The cross bearer was Ivan Sobkow. The interment followed in the Garden of St. John at Yorkton Memorial Gardens with
David Zrudlo, Steve Sobkow, Don Rusnak, Lyle Boston, Bill Glute and Jack Lipus serving as the casket bearers.
Funeral arrangements were in care of Bailey's Funeral Home.
