




Obituary of Ken Chepil
The family of Ken Chepil of Yorkton, beloved husband of the late Jacqueline Chepil sadly announce his passing on Friday, January 31, 2025. Ken was 71 years of age.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 7 at 11:00a.m. from the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family with Crystal Bailey, Certified Celebrant officiating.

The interment will follow in the Trinity Columbarium, Yorkton Memorial Gardens.
Memorials in memory of Ken may be made to the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic as gifts of remembrance.
Mr. Kenneth Chepil of Yorkton entered eternal rest on Friday, January 31, 2025 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was 71 years of age.
Kenneth was born to Alex and Mary Chepil March 4th, 1953 in Rhein, Saskatchewan and attended Stawchan country school and later Yorkton Regional High school.
Kenneth was united in marriage to Jacqueline Chipuer at St. John Bosco Roman Catholic Church, Saskatoon on November 9, 1973. They celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary just before Jacki’s passing in 2017. Their union was blessed with two children, a son Regan in 1979 and a daughter Amber in 1987.
Ken lived a full life with playing slow pitch, participating in demolition derbies, golfing, watching Riders football and curling.
Ken loved farming and never really gave up his love of agriculture. He was always checking crops, seeing what was going on, supper in the field and combining whenever he had the chance.
Ken had a very long career with Case, selling equipment from Lloydminster to Flin Flon, and everywhere between.
His other joy in life was his grandchildren. He enjoyed all they did from Cheer, to football, to hunting. He loved to see what the kids were up to.
Left to mourn are son Regan of Yorkton, daughter Amber Johnson (David) of Christopher Lake SK; three grandchildren: Brett and Violet Chepil of Yorkton and Colter Johnson of Christopher Lake; sister Diane Fulton of Lethbridge AB; and sister in law Kaylynn Chepil of Chilliwack BC. Also sisters in law: Leslie (Rod) Varga of Yorkton, Sandra Chipuer of Yorkton, and Geraldine Chipuer of Yorkton; brother in law Gerard O’Neill of Australia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ken was predeceased by his wife Jacqueline, daughter in law April Chepil, his mother and father Mary & Alex Chepil, brother Len Chepil and brother in law Robert Fulton; parents in law Helen & Edmund Chipuer, brother in law Charles Chipuer, and sister in law Heather Chipuer O’Neill.
Donations may be made to the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic - 4101 Dewdney Ave. Regina, S4T 7T1 as gifts of remembrance.
