Obituary of Daralynn Lyzun-Perrault
The family of Daralynn Lyzun-Perrault of Yorkton, beloved mother of Tyler and McKaylie, sadly announce her passing on Monday, February 10, 2025. She was 49 years of age.
It is with tears of sadness and compassion that we bid Daralynn, mother, daughter, auntie, niece, cousin, and friend farewell.
Daralynn left us to meet her dad, grandparents, aunties, uncles, other loved ones, and her Angels waiting to take her home into the arms of Jesus.
Her passing was peaceful and occurred on Monday, February 10, 2025, in mid afternoon at the Regina General ICU. Daralynn struggled the last few years with health issues.
Daralynn Jana Christi was born on January 18, 1976, at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre to Josephine and (late Sid) Lyzun of Yorkton. She was 49 years of age. Daralynn was the youngest of four children.
Daralynn leaves behind to lovingly remember her kind heart, gentle nature and teasing qualities, her sweet smile and at times a sharp tongue and glances.
She leaves behind her children, son Tyler of Calgary and daughter McKaylie of Grand Prairie, AB; her mother Josie Lyzun of Yorkton, brothers Garry (Lynn) Lyzun of Calgary AB, Marlin (Jennifer) Lyzun of Calabasas, CA and sister Maralee (Jesse) Lietzel of Michigan. Niece Hannah Seymour of Canmore AB, Uncle Peter (Karen) German of Endeavour, SK; aunt Vicki (Edwin) Derkach of The Pas, MB, two great aunties, Lilian Falke, of Etobicoke, ON and Rose Flannigan Collingwood, ON, and many cousins and friends.
Daralynn was baptized and received her First Holy Communion at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church in Yorkton. She attended St. Alphonsus School then the Yorkton Regional High School.
In her younger days she was involved in Ukrainian dancing with St. Mary’s Kalyna Dancers; Rhythmic Gymnastics and Jr. Girls Baseball. In her adult life she decided she wanted more in life then being a floor manager at Walmart in Calgary.
In August of 2009, Daralynn applied at Calgary College in a course for Legal Secretary. Upon graduating she applied at McCaffery Pritchard Law firm in Calgary and got the job. A few years later she decided she wanted to make a move back to Yorkton when her dad wasn't well.
A year later she applied at the Yorkton Community College taking shared University classes in Regina and Saskatoon in Social Work. Later moving to Dauphin and picking up some University of Manitoba classes, as well as driving back to Yorkton to write some of her exams. After graduation in Regina, she already had a job waiting for her at Mischief Child and Family Services in Dauphin, MB. When life in Dauphin didn’t work out for her, Daralynn moved back to Yorkton to help her mom out. Not long after she acquired a job with Yorkton Tribal Council. At which time she also earned her CSW status. She enjoyed her work with adults and children and the different way of life they lived. She was sad when she had to leave her job because of her health.
We will hold Daralynn forever in our memory and in our hearts until we meet again sweet Angel.
