Obituary of Marian Piesinger
In Memory of
Marian Elizabeth Piesinger (Lippai)
August 28, 1957 - March 23, 2025
Peacefully and surrounded by her family, Marian passed away on March 23, 2025 at the age of 67 years old.
Marian was born on August 28, 1957 in Esterhazy, SK to Joseph and Margaret Lippai. She grew up south of town and attended Esterhazy School. She married the love of her life, Leslie Piesinger, on June 14, 1980. Marian moved to join Leslie on his family farm south of Bredenbury where they spent many years farming the land and raising cattle and pigs. The couple welcomed Amanda in 1981, Michelle in 1983 and completed their family with Melinda in 1984. Marian enjoyed being a housewife and raising her girls. As the girls grew older, she went on to work as a Care Aide at the Bangor Lodge.
Marian enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved to tend to her flowers and would always plant huge gardens. She enjoyed small gatherings including late night card games, bingo, and visits with family and neighbours. She faithfully went to church on Sundays (until her health declined) and enjoyed lunches out afterwards. She thoroughly enjoyed her family trips out to BC, her time spent exploring Ontario and a very memorable vacation to Lake Havasu, USA. The place she most loved spending time at was Lake of the Prairies; many memories were made both camping and fishing there.
Marian will be loved and missed by her surviving husband of almost 45 years, Les; daughters and sons - in - law, Amanda (husband Brent and granddaughters Bailey and Addison), Michelle (Jamie and grandsons Brody, Tyler and Connor), and Melinda (Scott and grandsons Kaden and Kolton). She will also be lovingly remembered by many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Margaret and her in-laws, Bernard and Margaret.
A private family memorial service and interment will be held at a further date. At the family's request, no public service will be held.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the Saltcoats Lakeside Manor for all their care and compassion over the last couple of years.
In lieu of flowers, donations made me made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or the Saltcoats Lakeside Manor.
