Obituary of Gregory Patrick Bloodoff
With sadness, we announce the passing of Gregory Patrick Bloodoff on May 8, 2025.
Gregory Patrick Bloodoff was born to Polly (Chutskoff) and George Bloodoff on December 22, 1955.
Patrick’s father passed away in 1957, and two years later Polly remarried George Strelioff and the family moved to his farm near Veregin, SK. Patrick grew up loving the farm and farmed alongside his stepfather until retirement. Besides growing traditional crops, Patrick and his family grew alfalfa and raised leafcutter bees. Patrick built many shelters and hives for the bees.
Patrick loved his family, his pets, bowling, videogames, and rock and roll concerts. Patrick was a fanatic Saskatchewan Roughrider fan, and would always be wearing green and a team logo wherever he went.
Most of all, Patrick was passionate about electronics. His interest took root early in life which lead him to become certified in electronics repair after high school. His family room became an electronics workshop where he’d always be planning his next computer build or stereo system upgrade.
Patrick was always kind, generous, and had an excellent sense of humour.
Patrick was wheelchair bound after a tragic car accident in 2022 and thereafter lived at Parkridge in Saskatoon. Although life was harder, he never lost the spark of enjoyment he got from the company of family and friends, or singing karaoke to his favorite songs.
Patrick is survived by his sisters Betty (Forbes) with nephews Jason and Daniel and Teresa (Sankey) with nephews Eric and Colin, along with Uncle John Chernoff and many cousins.
We fondly remember Patrick’s other wonderful family members who passed before him: his father George, mother Polly, stepfather George Strelioff, half-sister Georgina, uncle Wally Chutskoff, aunt Doreen Chutskoff, cousin Wally Chutskoff, aunt Dora Brown, cousin Barry Brown, aunt Fanny Savenkoff, uncle Bill Savenkoff, uncle Fred Bloudoff, cousin Debbie Lucash, aunt Liz Rasmussen, uncle Mel Rasmussen, aunt Mary Fofonoff, and uncle Pete Fofonoff.
Patrick loved all of his friends and family and would always welcome company. Please let us know if you would like to join our celebration of Patrick's life. Contact us at: lifeofpatrick@nvigorate.ca
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Yorkton SPCA as a gift of remembrance of Patrick.
