Obituary of Eddie Deitz

The family of Eddie Deitz of Dodsland, Sask., partner of Veronica Bartok sadly announce his passing on Sunday, May 25, 2025. Eddie was 57 years of age.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 7 at 2:00p.m. from the Dodsland Lions Hall with Shauna Meek officiating.

Eddie Deitz - born in Kindersley, SK on July 18, 1967 

Passed away in Yorkton Regional Health Center in Yorkton, SK on May 25, 2025

Eddie was always a prankster who found joy and humour in all aspects of life.  No matter where he went he would make a friend everywhere, unfortunately after that you would receive numerous texts or phone calls at 6 am until you answered him.  He lived life one day at a time and to the fullest extent each day.  Ronnie and Eddie had a stable relationship, she worked like a horse and Eddie was stubborn as a mule. Eddie was always able to talk himself out of getting tickets, one of his talents he tried to pass down to the boys. His daughter would call him daily to share who she pissed off for the day and would share the laugh or discuss better ways to piss them off even more just for a bigger laugh. 

Eddie and Ronnie spent 34 years raising a family and making memories, they may have butt heads but they were too stubborn to let their relationship fall apart.  It has been a great 34 years, just not long enough.

Survived by the love of his life Ronnie aka Veronica

His Children - Travis, Clay (Taylor), Jess (Parker)

Grandchildren - Hudson and Gracyn

Their dog Bud Bud

Brothers - Nick (Shelley), George

Sisters - Cathie (Gary), Cindy (Jason), Corinna (Mark), and Christine (Brad)

Mother in law - Veronica Bartok

Brother in Laws - Nick (Rita), Stephen and Joseph.

Numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and tons of friends.

Predeceased by his parents Frank and Marie and brother Rick. Father in Law Steve Bartok.
