Obituary of Grant Stricker

The family of Grant Stricker, husband of Donna Stricker, announce his passing on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the age of 73 years. The Funeral Service was held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, from the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre, officiated by Minister Paul Remple. Casket Bearers were Rick Coleman, Bill Fuhr, Warren Stricker, Andrew Solenenka, Baron Stricker, and Farron Stricker. Memorial donations in memory of Grant may be made to Diabetes Canada and the Heart and Stroke Foundation. .Grant was born on April 15, 1952, to Dave and Leah Stricker in Yorkton. Grant lost his father through an accident while employed by the City of Yorkton. Grant was five years old at the time. Grant stayed with his mother, Leah, until she died. After finishing Grade 10, Grant went on to SIAST in Saskatoon to take schooling in autobody. He completed the course and earned his journeyman qualifications. Grant and a friend went into partnership and had an autobody shop a few miles north of Yorkton. They stayed there until the shop was destroyed by a fire. They decided not to rebuild and went their separate ways. Grant found work with International Harvester and after the place closed, he worked for Case Equipment. He also worked for Royal Ford and retired working for the Painted Hand Casino. Grant met his wife, Donna Stricker (nee Morozoff), through family. They married on August 1, 2004. Grant had many hobbies. He enjoyed camping, fishing, wood working, gardening, and more. Grant was flown by STARS Air Ambulance on July 19, 2025, to Regina General Hospital, where he died. Grant was predeceased by his parents David and Leah Stricker. Grant leaves to mourn his death and to celebrate his life his loving wife Donna, and her sons Josh of Edmonton, and Quinton and Warren of Saskatoon; grandsons Andrew Solenenka and Owen Dergousoff of Saskatoon; and brother-in-law Richard Morozoff of Yorkton. Arrangements are entrusted to Bailey’s Funeral Home
