I grew up with Mr. Big in Yorkton. We spent many hours together as teenagers. Commencing in 1978 I worked on BC #2 Tie Gang for CPR at the time.
I believe it was in the 1979 when Wilfred wanted to come out and try the Tie Gang lifestyle. Several of us from Yorkton were working on the gang at that time.
The Yorkton boys introduced Wilfred to the foreman and he was hired.
All of us eventually left except Wilfred who stayed for 40 years.
