Obituary of Wilfred Samuel Gawdun

Wilfred Gawdun

July 7, 1958 - July 27, 2025

Willy was born in Yorkton and spent his childhood here. He passed away after a brief fight against cancer.

As Wilfred grew up and decided on a career he spent spring, summer and fall working as a crain operator for CP rail for 40 years. In the winter he spent time with family in Kamloops and Yorkton.

Willy was an avid sports fan cheering for Dallas Cowboys and BC Lions. After retiring Willy spent a few years with family in Kamloops, BC and more recently moved back to Yorkton, close to his sister Virginia.

Willy was predeceased by his parents Alex and Mary Gawdun, his brothers Wayne and Kelly Gawdun, his sister and brother-in-law Joan and Dave Pitts.

He is survived by his sister Virginia Pickard. Nieces and Nephews - Glen, Jason, Troy, Tracey, Sean, Shanley, Renay, Ryan and their spouses as well as several great nieces and nephews.

No Funeral Services are being held at this time.
