Obituary of Rhonda Eastcott

Rhonda Jean Eastcott, 71, of Springside Sk, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025 with her husband by her side. 

Born on November 8 ,1953, in Hamiota MB, Rhonda was a dedicated employee of Yorkton Regional Health Center for 35 years. After retirement, she devoted her time to working with at need women in the community. Rhonda was known for her generous nature, quick wit, volunteerism and unconditional love. Rhonda enjoyed spending time camping, fishing and exploring the country. Rhonda is survived by her husband Murray Eastcott; daughter Julie (Terry), son Bill (Shauna); four grandchildren Braiden (Taylor), Maverick, Brett (Rebecca), Shae-Lyn (Anthony), and great grandson Briar. She was pre-deceased by her parents Hugh and Iris Lawson, sister Leigh Fraser and brother Robert in infancy. 

A Prayer Service was held on Friday September 5, 2025 from Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre with Reverend Luanne Hrrywkiw officiating. Hymns included Amazing Grace, All Things Bright and Beautiful, and Onward Christian Soldiers. Organist Angela Vaughan provided musical accompaniment. Margaret Ann Yost served as scripture reader. Rhonda’s obituary was read by Ray Yost.

The Funeral Service was held on Saturday September 6, 2025 also from Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre, Reverend Hrywkiw officiating. Hymns included, This Is My Fathers World, Blessed Assurance, and In The Bulb There Is A Flower. Organist Angela Vaughan provided musical accompaniment. Kitty Arndt served as scripture reader. Eulogists were Maverick Schneider and Brett Eastcott. Shae-Lyn Lastiwka and Braiden Eascott served as Urn Bearers.

Memorial donations in Rhonda’s memory may be made to the Springside Fire Department or a Charity of Choice as gifts of remembrance.
