Obituary of Bev Rondeau
With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our wife, mother, and grandmother, Bev Rondeau. She passed away in her sleep surrounded by her family on August 16th, 2025 after a short battle with cancer. Bevereley Ann Olson and her twin brother, Barry, were born in Saskatoon, SK on May 21, 1955 to Marvel and Eugene Olson. They were the eldest of six siblings and grew up on a farm near Dundurn, SK.
After Bev graduated high school, she moved to Vancouver to take a data entry course. Once the course was completed, she moved back to Saskatoon and worked for Computer Services. In 1976, Bev met the love of her life, Paul Rondeau. It was love at first sight. They got married on November 4, 1978 and welcomed daughters, Shara (1984), Janelle (1993) and Karlyn (1994).
Bev worked in the fields of data entry, small business accounting, and banking with RBC in Saskatoon, North Battleford, and Yorkton. Once she retired, Bev enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, camping, and baking. She was always so excited to attend all of her grandchildren’s activities and organize family meals around every event, birthday, and holiday. She also was so great at planning fun, family activities when her family got together.
Bev was predeceased by her parents Marvel (Walrath) and Eugene Olson, in-laws Lorraine and Oliver Rondeau, sister-in-law Joni Olson (Garnet) in 2023, and twin brother Barry in 2025. She is survived by her husband, Paul, daughters Shara (Quentin Simle), Janelle, and Karlyn, and grandchildren Farren, Keastin, Jace, and Gina; siblings Val (Chip) Czarnecki, Madeline Olson, Marilyn (Barney) Baraniecki, and Garnet Olson; in-laws Connie Olson (Barry), Colette (Mel) Fischer, Diane Rondeau, Lynne (Monte) Stewart, Marcel (Darlene) Rondeau, Irene (Ian) Huget, and Rosalie (Jerry) Weisgerber; aunts Mary Olson (Ken) and Phyllis Walrath (Jack); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
