Pastor Frank Keshane

Obituary of Pastor Frank Keshane

The life of an amazing man such as Frank, isn’t an easy thing to sum up. He was an amazing husband, father, Choochum, brother, nephew, cousin and friend, along with his highest calling of being both an Evangelist and Pastor. Family was absolutely everything to him, and despite coming from an extremely large family, he took the time and made each member feel just as special and just as loved as the next.

Nothing surpassed the love he had for the family he created with his beautiful wife, Vivian whom he bragged met him for a mere five minutes and has been chasing him ever since for the last 40 years. His fatherhood was unmatchable and extended beyond his son and daughter as he stepped in to father many around him. His grand-babies were the centre of his world as he was theirs and they loved him more than anything. He often referred to his family as being his driving force to live life and to live it to the fullest.

He was a true man of valor. Courage and strength immeasurable, as he fought through unimaginable battles in the last sixteen months of his life. He was selfless; a servant committed to advancing the Kingdom of God. He spent the first forty years of his ministry, travelling Canada and the US as an evangelist, sharing the word of God near and far. He continued the legacy of his brother Fred as he resumed pastorship of the HOP in 2023. He poured himself into his congregation and ensured they were equipped with the true word of God. He loved his church family and he always made sure they knew it.

He was a lover of everything and anything guitar related. He frequented Long & McQuade (typically without his wife’s knowledge) and was constantly on the look out for an addition to his already too big collection.

A heart of gold, he always put everyone above himself and was the most caring and giving person around. Chances are, if you were fortunate enough to have known him, you can attest to this and recall a time or two or ten that he has been there for you.

A man of many talents, he encompassed what an entrepreneur really was. From a coffee company, a bottled water company, a hockey stick company, a custom clothing company right down to authoring a published children’s book; He was nothing short of amazing and always had something going on. God blessed us with him for just shy of sixty-two years and we are eternally grateful. He had a substantial impact on many around him and his presence will be greatly missed.

With unwavering faith, he clung to the promises of God and praised Him right to the end. Just days before his passing, he proclaimed “my work is done”.  No longer struttin’ the mean aisles of the Wal but rejoicing, made whole and struttin’ the streets of gold in heaven.

Frank is predeceased by his precious mother, Sylvia, brothers; Darren, Joseph, Fred, and Leonard (Boogie) and sister Laura. Frank will be dearly missed by his dad, Leonard. His loving wife, Vivian, children Austin (Danielle), Sasha (Gabe), Anisha, Leona, adopted son’s, Bear, Sundance and Jonas. His favourite people; his grand-babies, Gabriel Vance, Garryn, Daisy, Gage, Gunner, Tessa, Tia, Kesslyn, AJ, Micah, Kieran, Aislyn, Kaliyah and Traezon. Siblings; Freda (Lil Man), Mike, Leon, Loretta (Darren), Lisa (Chuck), Billie and Amanda. Uncles Ivan and Ernie. Aunties, Jane, Sally, Donna, Shirley, Merlene, Colleen and Vivian. Cousins, nieces and nephews, along with special sister-in-law Melissa and the rest of his Ministikwan in-laws and friends far too numerous to mention.
