Obituary of James Thomas Rudnitski

The family of James Thomas Rudnitski of Edmonton, Alberta sadly announce his passing on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. James was 89 years of age.

The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 6 at 10:00a.m. with the Rosary led by the Knights of Columbus to begin at 9:30a.m. from Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre.

The interment will follow at the Yorkton City Cemetery.

 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Charity of choice.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of James (Jim) Rudnitski in Edmonton, Alberta, on September 17, 2025, at the age of 89.

Jim was born in Canora, Saskatchewan, on August 15, 1936, to the late Tom and Margaret Rudnitski. He is lovingly remembered by his siblings Ron (Shirley), Bill (Gloria), and Carol (Alvin), and was predeceased by his sister Janice. He will be deeply missed by his nieces and nephews — Rhonda (Kurt), Sean (Jennifer), Dawn (Kevin), Jason (Collyne), Nicole, Ashley, Cole, Nathan, and Noah.

Jim spent most of his career at the Yorkton Flower Shop and later held retirement roles at the golf course and hotel. A devout Catholic, he was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus Father Delaere Council #5182. He was an avid Roughriders and Blue Jays fan, enjoyed watching curling, playing card games, and solving Sudoku, and liked to travel.
