Arrangements have been entrusted to Bailey's Funeral Home and Cremation Care.

Joanna was born on April 30, 1939, the third of a family of seven to Anthony and Stephania (Yurkiw) Kyba.

She grew up on the family farm in the Dnieper District, attended Cedric School from grade 1 to 9 and Sacred Heart Academy in Yorkton for high school.

She attended Secretarial School in Winnipeg, returning to Yorkton to work as a legal secretary in her brother Stan’s law office and later in Yorkton when he opened his law practice there. She continued to work there for many years.

In 1968, she married James (Jim) Pidperyhora and they enjoyed many happy years together, traveling, golfing, curling, spending time with their many friends and family and especially enjoyed their cottage at Madge Lake – their home away from home! Jim passed away in March, 2003.

She was predeceased by her husband Jim (2003), her parents and parents-in-law, her brothers Stan (Eileen), Nestor (Jean), Father Boris and her sister Marusia who died in infancy.

She is survived by her brother Paul & Lynne Kyba and sister Cornelia & Bruce Bobinski; niece Debbie & Larry Kitchen & family; David Kyba, Kevin & Cheryl Sutton and Jim’s siblings, Valerie (Dennis) Elaschuk and family, Leonard (Grace) Pidperyhora and Greg (Gwen) Pidperyhora.

The family wishes to thank Joanna’s special “angel” friends who helped her at the time of her passing, Janice Flaman, Elaine Beres and Ken McCandless.

In lieu of flowers memorials to St. Mary’s Church Building Fund, Yorkton in Joanna’s memory would be appreciated.
