Obituary of Richard Morozoff
The family of Richard Morozoff of Yorkton, beloved brother of Donna Stricker sadly announce his passing on October 26, 2025. He was 75 years of age.
Richard Paul Morozoff was born on December 20, 1949 in Kamsack, Sask. He was the eldest of two children born to parents Paul and Mary (nee Popoff) Morozoff. Richard grew up on the family farm north of Veregin. He went to school in Kamsack, completing grade 12 at the Kamsack Collegiate.
During the summer of grades 11 and 12, Richard worked at Madge Lake. After graduation, he went to university in Saskatoon to study computer science. Upon completion, he came back home and worked at Madge Lake until he gained employment at System House in Winnipeg, Manitoba doing computer programming. He worked in Winnipeg until 1979 when he was transferred to Edmonton so he can be near family. In 1980, due to health issues, Richard moved back to the farm and lived with his parents. Richard would help Donna and her husband at the service station and bus depot which they owned, in Canora. Richard and his parents moved to Yorkton in 1997 and when his father passed away in 2004, Richard continued to live with his mother until her passing in 2012. Richard then moved in with his sister Donna and his brother in law Grant and stayed with them until he was hospitalized in May 2025. Richard passed away on October 26, 2025 in Yorkton, Sask. at the age of 75 years.
Richard was a faithful member of the Living Church of God and attended Holy days with Donna. In the fall, Richard and Donna attended Feast sites where they would gather with other members of the church throughout Saskatchewan and Canada. Here they enjoyed fellowship and listened to various prophetic messages.
Richard enjoyed the simpler things in life and enjoyed reading. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Richard was predeceased by his parents Paul and Mary, his brother in laws Wayne Stricker and Grant Stricker as well as numerous cousins. Richard is survived by his sister Donna Stricker, his nephews Joshua, Quinton and Warren, his great nephews Andrew Solenenka and Owen Dergousoff, his cousin Lisa (Harold) Remazoff as well as many church family members.
The Funeral Service was held on Thursday, October 30, 2025 from the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre with Mr. Michael Brown of the Living Church of God officiating. The interment followed in Riverview Cemetery, Kamsack with Bill Fuhr, Rick Coleman, Barron Stricker, Warren Stricker, Christopher Stricker and Andrew Solenenka serving as casket bearers.
Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation as gifts of remembrance.
