The family of Herman Ernest Fenske sadly announce his passing on Saturday, October 25, 2025. He was 80 years of age. Herman was born on December 4, 1944, in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, to Herman and Dora Fenske (nee Stapinski).

Herman spent his younger years helping his mother on the farm and working for neighbours. Herman attended school in Jedburgh, also attending high school in Ituna, and receiving his post-secondary education at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon. Herman was a very active in sports during his schooling in Jedburgh – playing baseball, softball, and hockey. He continued playing ball and hockey into his adult life.

Herman began his working years drywalling in Yorkton and area, then starting his long career selling tires, beginning in Yorkton and then moving to Regina.

In 1965, Herman married the love of his life, Deanna Guy. On August 30, 1970, their daughter Kym was born. Kym sadly passed away in March of 1971, at the age of six months. In 1973, daughter Lori became part of the family, followed by their son Neil in 1975.

Herman had a great love of the outdoors, including fishing, hunting, camping, and gardening. He also loved driving across Canada and the USA with Deanna on their many adventures.

In 2000, the family pulled up stakes in Regina and moved to Theodore to be closer to the outdoors and family. In Herman’s later years, he enjoyed watching his two favourite teams on TV, the Edmonton Oilers and the Toronto Blue Jays, and discussing the outcome with his oldest brother, August.

Herman is predeceased by his loving wife Deanna; daughter Kym; parents Herman and Dora; sisters Irene and Caroline; brother Melvine; brother-in-law’s Jack, Lorne, and Mervin; father-in-law and mother-in-law Les and Edith; and special niece Lila.

Herman leaves to mourn his passing his daughter Lori and son Neil; grandchildren Kayleigh, Kira, and Brett; great-grandchildren Jordison, Jaxton, and Attica; brother August (Arlene); sister-in-law’s Margaret and Shirley; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
