Linton Yanke

Obituary of Linton Yanke

Linton Albert Yanke
May 10, 1952 – November 3, 2025

It is with great sadness that the family of Linton Yanke announces his passing in Churchbridge, Saskatchewan, at the age of 73. He passed peacefully in his sleep at home.

In his younger years, Linton enjoyed riding horses and working on the family farm. He was truly a family man, always cherishing time spent with his loved ones. He had a special bond with his grandchildren, often quadding with them and having a connection with each one individually. He treasured every moment with his family which is why he organized the annual hayrack ride to bring everyone together and was always there to lend a hand. Whether you had a question about your car or needed advice on something else, Linton could often diagnose the problem right over the phone.

Linton spent a short time of his working life in the lumber industry in British Columbia, and later worked for Metal Fab at the mine. However, his true passion was farming. He found joy in long hours spent in the field and in herding his cows.

Linton is survived by his wife, Laurel; his children, Jennifer, Melissa (Curtis), and Andrew; his grandchildren, Ashley (Parker), Emily, Lawson, and Violet who always fought over who was his favorite which he never did settle; his mother, Violet; and his siblings: Jason (Mary), Judy (John), Tim, Mark (Brenda), and Guy (Cheryl), and many nieces and nephews and friends.

He was predeceased by his father Albert and brother Robyn.

Linton's legacy of hard work, love for his family, and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
