Keith McKenzie

Obituary of Keith McKenzie

The family of Keith McKenzie of Yorkton sadly announce his passing on November 15, 2025. Keith was 78 years of age.

Keith Kenneth McKenzie was born in Lestock, Saskatchewan on June 26th, 1947 to Kenneth and Anna (nee Glenn) McKenzie.

Keith was known for how much he loved his children and grandchildren, along with his kindness and willingness to help anyone. Whether someone needed a listening ear over coffee, needed a smoke or some advice, a place to stay, or a few dollars to get by, he tried to help any way he could. But if you kindly refused his help or when it came to accepting help himself, you’d suddenly find out just how stubborn one human being could be. It was a signature Keith trait. He would always put others first, even when he didn’t have much to give.

Keith is predeceased by his grandparents Alex and Diana; his parents Kenneth and Anna; sister Sheila Paling; brothers Calvin McKenzie, Lorne Alspach and Robert ‘Earl’ Williams, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Keith leaves to mourn him his many friends and family. His daughter Lindsay Chupa of Regina, SK and her children Jaxon and Everett; his son Jeffrey (Sarah) of Canora, SK and their children Malachi and Evelyn; his daughter Sabrina (Jacob) of Yorkton, SK and their son Lucas; his sister-in-law Dreada Alspach of Laflèche, SK; his niece DeAnn (Vince) Alspach of Victoriaville, QC and their children Zachary and Zoe; his nephew Rob Alspach of Laflèche, SK; his niece Tracy (Devon) Paling of McLean, SK and their children Brayden and Cyla, as well as many cousins and extended family.

Keith’s family would like to give a special thank you to the nurses and doctors who treated him at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre, for making him laugh and his final days comfortable.

A Celebration of Keith's Life was held on Friday, November 28, 2025 from the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre with Crystal Bailey officiating. Lindsay, Jeffrey and Sabrina shared words of remembrance. The interment will be held at a later date in the Lestock Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan as gifts of remembrance.
