Obituary of Mary Davis

Mary Rose Davis (nee Jacobs) May 26, 1931 – November 17, 2025

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother on November 17, 2025, at the Yorkton and District Nursing Home, Yorkton, Saskatchewan.  She was 94 years of age.  Mary was born May 26, 1931, in the Togo District, daughter of Eli Otto and Frances May Jacobs (nee Lingfield).

Mary grew up on the family farm near Togo, Sask. with her three brothers and six sisters.  Mary worked at many jobs, including being a Dietary Aide at the Yorkton Hospital until her retirement.  She enjoyed gardening and her flowers, and spending time with family and friends. 

Mary was predeceased by her parents Eli and Francis May Jacobs, eight siblings: Margaret, Charles, Watson, Jessie, William, Mabel, Lucy and Kathleen, her husband Roy Davis in September 2012 and son Brentyn in May 2022.

Mary will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Debbie Davies of Yorkton and Stephanie Kryski (Anthony) of Yorkton, Granddaughter Sabrina Davies (Lucas) of Springside, Sask., Great-Granddaughter Mia May, Grandson Michael Davis of Saskatoon, Sask., sister Daisy of Toronto, Ontario as well as many special friends, nieces and nephews.

A visitation was held at Bailey’s Funeral Home on Saturday November 22, 2025, in Yorkton, Sask.  A private family service will be held in 2026.
