Obituary of Laurent "Larry" Lalonde

The family of Larry Lalonde of Melville, husband of Lissa sadly announce his passing on November 29,  2025. Larry was 67 years of age.

The Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 1:00pm from St. Henry's Roman Catholic Church in Melville, with Father Melcor Samonte as celebrant.

Laurent “Larry” Lalonde was born on October 23, 1958 at Willow Bunch, Saskatchewan, a son to Armand and Jeane (nee Bruneau) Lalonde.

Larry known to all grew up and received all of his education in Willow Bunch. Larry moved away to help his brother Fernie putting up steel building for 8 years. Then in 1982 he moved back to Willow Bunch where he got married to Lissa Caza on June 5, 1982. He worked for LeeVille construction in Assiniboi, Saskatchewan for 2 years, then worked for the town of Willow Bunch for 2 years. Larry then worked for Gerry Fitzpatrick until 1989. The couple moved to Brooks, Alberta in 1990 where Larry was employed with Lakeside Packers for 17 years. In 2007 they moved back to Saskatchewan and resided in Yorkton for a couple of years then in 2009 moved to Melville.

Larry was a volunteer Fire Fighter in Willow Bunch from 1982 to 1989. He also belonged to the Karate and Judo club from 1987 to 1989.

Larry entered his eternal rest suddenly while decorating the Christmas tree on November 29, 2025 at his residence at the age of 67 years.

Predeceased by his parents, Armand and Jeane Lalonde; brothers, Raymond and Paul. Larry leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife Lissa of 43 years; sons, Jaydon Lalonde, Corey Lalonde, Kelly Lalonde; daughter, Sumer Lalonde; grandchildren, Wesley and Mavrik Lalonde; brother, Fernie (Pauline) Lalonde; sisters, Bernadette (Omer) Lemieux, Pauline (Terry) Verhaeghe, Laurette Lalonde, and Julie Hodgson; sisters-in-law, Vivian and Julie; as well as nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
