Obituary of Alice Friesen
The family of Alice Friesen of Saskatoon, sadly announce her passing on Friday, November 28, 2025. Alice was 88 years of age.
The Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, December 6 at 1:00p.m., from the Chapel of Bailey's Funeral Home.
The interment will follow in the Melville Municiapl Cemetery.
It is with deep sadness that the family of Alice Friesen announces her peaceful passing on Friday, November 28, 2025 at Preston Special Care Home in Saskatoon, SK.
Alice was born November 8, 1937 in Melville, SK. Her parents Isaac and Mary (Rempel) Friesen had five children. Her siblings were Kathleen, George, Bruce, and Harvey. Alice was the baby of the family. She attended school in Melville.
Alice married Albin Knezacek in March of 1959. Albin and Alice had seven children; Dennis, Donna, Donald, Ardell, Brenda, Bernice, and Darwin. They raised their children in Esterhazy, later moving to Yorkton in 1973.
Alice’s greatest joy was always her children, and later grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Alice’s foundation for her life was always God. She believed that Jesus would return one day to restore love in the world.
Alice is with God in heaven. Her body is pure and without pain. Her heart is full of the love of Jesus. Alice taught all of her children the path to God is through Jesus and that God is real.
Alice’s spiritual name is “Gift of Forever”
Her children knew the gift of heaven was for eternity.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, four siblings and her grandson Adam Cumming.
