Obituary of Maurice Taillon

The family of Maurice Taillon of Melville, announce his passing on December 3, 2025. Maurice was 82 years of age.

Interment at a later date in St. Henry's Cemetery in Meville.

TAILLON - Maurice Richard Taillon was born in Grayson, SK September 16, 1943. He passed away December 3, 2025, at the age of 82 years old. He was the oldest son of George and Magdalena Taillon. He grew up on the family farm 4 miles South of Grayson and attended Columbia and Grayson Schools.

Maurice worked most of his life in the construction industry as a mechanical insulator doing both commercial and industrial insulation applications. He had his own Insulation Company for 15 years and retired in 2003 after 35 years. Upon retiring, Maurice moved from Saskatoon to Turtle Lake and enjoyed fishing and quadding. He moved to Melville in 2010 and looked forward to spending the winter in Yuma and Mexico for a few years.

Maurice was predeceased by his parents George in 1988 and Magdalena in 2010. He is survived by his daughter Shannon (Murray) Schrader and their sons Kyle and Kory; his son Sheldon and his son Shaydon; and ex-wife Joyce.

He also leaves behind his sister Florence (Bruce) Parlee and his brother Kenneth (Laurette) Taillon; as well as nieces and nephews.

Cremation took place with a private family burial in St. Henry’s Parish Cemetery in Melville.
