Obituary of Audrey Kammer
Audrey Dorothy Kammer was born on April 6, 1938 to Anthony and Wilhemine (nee Schick) Kammer in Duff, Saskatchewan. She was raised on a farm near Duff and attended Lake Mona School. In 1952 Audrey along with her family moved into Melville where she completed her education at the Melville High School. She worked for a year at Lanigan Bakery then move to Fort Qu’Appelle where she worked at Echo Lodge in the kitchen for six years. In 1977 she returned to Melville where she remained until moving to Ituna in 2025. She enjoyed embroidery, crochet work, and bowling. She passed away in Melville on Dec. 24, 2025.
Predeceased by her mother in 1981, father in 1998, sister Irene and brother Jonny (in infancy), brothers Leonard and Norman later in life, sister-in-law Norma in 1992, nephews Douglas (in infancy) and Brian, and friend Emil Churko. She leaves to mourn her passing nieces Debbie Kammer of Edmonton, AB and Angela (Matt) Hunter of London, ON, her nephew Ryan (Randi) Pilon, of Winnipeg, MB, great niece Ainsley Pilon, great nephew Bastian Pilon, and numerous cousins and neighbors.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Peter’s Hospital in Melville and the Central Pine Care Home in Ituna for their assistance with Audrey over the past year.
A private ceremony for family will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers Audrey requested that a donation be made to the St. Paul’s Church in Melville.
