Obituary of Annette Durham
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Annette Blanche Durham of Melville. Annette fought hard and with great dignity many battles but this most recent battle could not be overcome. She entered into her eternal rest peacefully on Monday, January 5, 2026 with family by her side. She was so brave, calm and peaceful.
Annette was born to Helen and Wilfred Tremblay on July 17, 1935 in Wakaw, Saskatchewan with an older sister Adeline in tow and little Lauraine to follow in years later.
Annette went to school in Renaud, Saskatchewan and left home after grade 8. Annette moved to Saskatoon, Sask. and worked at Safeway, where she met Tom. On September 8, 1958 Annette was united in marriage to Thomas Durham in Renaud, Saskatchewan.
Annette worked at home taking care of their 6 children for many years. After a few years of living in Melville, Annette got a job at St. Henry’s Junior High School as the librarian. She also started a business selling silk plants for Totally Tropical at home parties.
Annette was a devoted wife and mother and her life was rooted in faith. She was devoted to her church, St. Henry’s as a CWL member, a sacristan, communion minister, lector and many other roles. Annette’s smile, and hugs were well known in her circles.
Annette is lovingly remembered by her husband of 67 years Tom, her children Donna (deceased) (Brant); children Jacine (Darren); child Wesley, Jordan (Taryn), Chandler (Elizaveta), Mervin (Rena), Brenda (Jim); their children: Matthew (Carrington), children Stella and Calder, Amie (Scott); children Sloan, Nathaniel and Ivy, Shawn (Yvonne), Scott (Stephanie) and Angela (Chad); child Ryan, Dale (Tracy), Brian Durham (deceased), Sharon Durham (Deceased) (Chris); child Austin.
Annette was predeceased by 3 of her 6 children, Donna Marie Gyug, Brian Joseph Durham and Sharon Dehlia Durham.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Henry's Roman Catholic Church Memorial Fund, St. Henry's Parish Cemetery Fund, Mass Offerings or Crohn's and Colitis Foundation.
