Obituary of Janice Tressel

   Janice was born on July 16, 1963 in Neudorf, Saskatchewan to Peter and Viona Tressel, a younger sister to Sheryl and Peter.  She grew up on the family farm in the Crosthwaite District.  Janice attended Lipton School and was active in many sports in her younger years.

   Janice married Terry Haynes in July of 1983.  The couple was blessed with two sons, Tristan and Koltin.  After many years together, Janice and Terry separated.  They later reconnected and became close friends, remaining as such until her death.

   When her children were young, Janice enjoyed watching them play baseball and hockey and participating in track and field.  Janice enjoyed family gatherings as well as getting together with friends.  She was a good cook who enjoyed feeding everyone who came to her home.  Janice was particularly thrilled when she became a grandmother.  Koltin’s daughter Skylee, and Tristan’s children Randall and Marrabell were her pride and joy.

   Janice was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Viona Tressel and sister Cindy in infancy.  She is survived by her son Koltin, son Tristan (Katelyn), grandchildren Skylee, Randall and Marrabell, sister Sheryl (Lonnie Pawluk), brother Peter (Lisa Tressel), her children’s father, Terry Haynes, and extended family members and friends.

Janice cherished animals, those wishing to make a memorial donation in Janice’s memory can do so to the animal charity of their choice as gifts of remembrance.
