Kevin began his long career in the oil and gas industry at the young age of 17 when he moved to Alberta with the love of his life who he married on April 23, 1983, in Oxbow. They returned to Saskatchewan in 1985, when Kevin was promoted to tool pusher on a service rig near Estevan and Weyburn before moving to Pilot Butte in 1987 when he began steamfitting-pipefitting and welding in which he eventually held a Journeyman certificate for both trades. In 1993 Kevin and Lisa purchased an acreage east of Melville where they enjoyed raising their 3 children who they taught to raise many various farm animals and allowed them fun driving tractors, go-carts, snowmobiles and riding horses among other great life experiences. Kevin began his business K&L mobile welding in 1997 running his welding rig as a B pressure pipe welder and than carried on the business in 2015 as a certified welding Inspector among many other roles inspecting and project managing. His work took him throughout Saskatchewan, Alberta, and even into BC.
Kevin always strived for excellence and was a very high achiever in all his many hobbies, tasks and work. He was a mentor to many that worked with him and always made friends wherever he went. He worked very hard all his life, making sacrifices, and just wanted the best for his family. His grandchildren meant the world to him, he took great joy in spoiling them, always happy to spend his time and money to see them smile. He created countless cherished memories for his children and grandchildren-riding horses, driving go-carts, dirt bikes, snowmobiles, fishing, hunting, shooting, spending time at the lake boating or gathered around the campfire.
