Gloria Wilcox

Obituary of Gloria Wilcox

Gloria Eleanor Wilcox, born July 12, 1941, in Sheho, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2026, at Yorkton Crossing, where she had resided for the past four years. During her time there, she became known as quite the character and was loved by many.

Gloria was one of five children born to Mary Kitzul. Following the passing of her father, Elmer Kitzul, she became part of a large blended family when her mother married Peter Todoschuk. Together, the family grew to eleven children, creating a lively and close-knit household.

She was raised and educated in Yorkton, where she spent most of her life. In the 1960s, Gloria married Rollie Wilcox, and together they raised three children. She later worked in a number of retail roles and was proud to have been part-owner of a prominent Yorkton business during the 1980s.

Gloria had a strong social spirit and enjoyed spending time with her friends. She loved curling, tending to her flowers in the summer, and watching sports on television. She was known for her wit and sarcasm, her love of practical jokes, and her overall sense of humour that made her enjoyable to be around. She will be remembered for the laughter she brought into people’s lives.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, Todd (Jennifer), Troy, and Teri (Jason); her grandchildren, Jadelynn (Jesse), Brayan (Kayde), and Mundon; and her great-grandchildren, Aubrie and Jasper. She was predeceased by her parents, many of her siblings, as well as her partner, Ike Martens.

Friends and family will gather for a memorial get-together at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in her memory.

Arrangements are entrusted to Bailey’s Funeral and Cremation Care.
