Clarence Joseph Seitz was born on December 13, 1937, and raised on the family farm near Pelly, Saskatchewan. He was the second of three children born to Joseph and Josephine (Meier) Seitz. He attended St. Basilian School from grades one through eight, then worked on the farm which he eventually took over.

Clarence married Katherine Wlasewich in 1958, and together on the family farm they were blessed with three children, Ron, Raye and Lavern. Clarence farmed grain and cattle for sixty years. In his spare time, he enjoyed being with friends and curling at Pelly rink. In the early eighties he helped build the new rink and volunteered time in its maintenance.

Clarence and Katherine retired to Yorkton in 2015, but continued to visit the farm each year to plant the garden and helped at seeding and harvest. He enjoyed relaxing and kept up to date with curling, boxing and UFC. Clarence moved to Eaglestone Lodge in February this year due to his health. He passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Kamsack Hospital on April 4, 2026.

Clarence was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Josephine (nee Meier), and sister Jeannette Robson.

Left to mourn is his wife of 67 years, Katherine, sons Ron, Raye (Angel) and Lavern (Janice), the grandchildren he loved so much, Blaze (Alicia), Rebecca (Noel), Gage and LJ; and brother Lorne (Phyllis) Seitz.
