Dear Barb and family,
It is NOT difficult to put into words what Brian Lake meant to us. Brian was most often guided by kindness and humility but his good hearted style is what filled our friendship with tons of joy and laughter! His silly smirk, timing and eyebrows raised "Good morning?" (when it was early afternoon) was always the best way to start a beach day, our beloved Burgis Beach Family memories will be cherished forever! We are so very sorry for your loss; in your grief, remember that you are deeply cared for and loved by God, your family and your friends, peace be with you today and always!

My sincere condolences to the Lake family. I have many fond memories of Mr. Lake from my minor hockey years, where he was always actively involved as a parent. My family also greatly appreciated the support he provided my Dad in his later years. Mr. Lake was a good, kind and humble individual who contributed greatly to the community and will be warmly remembered.

Dear Barb and Family
I was so saddened to learn of Brian’s passing, and send my heartfelt condolences to each and every one of you on your loss. Brian was such a gentle and lovely man!
While spending many hours in your home for piano lessons, he often shared a friendly word or smile. I remember him zipping downstairs during a lesson for a supper recipe on the computer, or making a point to pass on a bit of praise about a performance after Festival or Highlights, And I remember the kind twinkle in his eye . I truly wish you all the comfort you need ~ until that time when memories bring you far more smiles than tears. ❤️

Dear Barb, Jennifer & Heather,
I am so saddened to hear of Brian’s passing! Over the many many years we worked in your basement on music festival entries Brian always had a smile on his face and such a cheerful demeanor! I so appreciated his positive outlook and endless volunteer hours on a job well done! He was a lovely gentle soul. My condolences.
