It is with profound sadness that the family of Glendon Richard Zacher of Foam Lake Jubilee Nursing Home wish to announce his peaceful passing at the age of 93 on Saturday, April 18, 2026.

Glen was born on December 23rd, 1932 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan to Herman and Mearl Zacher. Glen and his sister Jeanne grew up in a very loving and close family. Glen graduated from Yorkton Collegiate.

Glen married Jean Blinston in 1976 and together they shared 50 years (this coming May) of adventures, love, and devotion to one another.

Glen thoroughly enjoyed spending time exploring the outdoors, family picnics, fishing, hunting, playing baseball and hockey. He also enjoyed bowling, playing pool and spending time with those, he loved. Glen was an extremely devoted father and grandfather always making family a priority.

He was a very handy and creative man who was always willing to lend a hand wherever needed. His most treasured times were the times he spent with Jean at their cabin at Fishing Lake. Together they continually welcomed family and friends to their cabin and there was never a shortage of fun, laughter and of course evening campfires.

Known as a practical joker Glen loved to laugh and have fun with his family and friends. He was extremely artistic and his family was the recipient of many of his creative abilities. One of his most admired artistic talents was his beautiful wood carved ducks.

Glen was a dedicated employee of the Saskatchewan Liquor Board Store. He retired from this career in 1994 after serving as manager of the Foam Lake Liquor store for 20 years.

Glen was a member of the Foam Lake Wildlife Federation.

Glen is survived by his loving and truly devoted wife (of 50 years) Jean, his daughter Deb (Wayne Wiens), grandchildren Brody, Megan (Daniel), great grandchildren Sloan and Blair and numerous nieces and nephews.

Glen is pre-deceased by his parents, sister Jeanne, granddaughter Kelly.

Jean and the family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the entire staff of the Jubilee Nursing home for their compassion and care to Glen over the past 10 years.

Many thanks to Baileys Funeral home for their compassion and care during this difficult time.
