Obituary of Richard Jr. Beverly Allan
The family of Richard Beverly Allan Jr. (Rick) wishes to announce his passing on April 23, 2026, at the age of 77, after a brave battle with health issues he passed away peacefully in his sleep. Rick was born June 18, 1948, in Dauphin, Manitoba. Son to Richard Sr. & Ethel Allan, 3rd youngest of 5 children.
Rick grew up on the Northgate Farm in Dubuc, Saskatchewan and went to school in Dubuc and Esterhazy, Sk. He shared stories of taking the horse and buggy to school and of growing up on the farm. As a young man he did many odd jobs in and around Dubuc. He then moved away to Edmonton where he went to school for Sheet Metal Work after completing, he started his long and dedicated career up until he retired and proud to be a member of the Steel Workers Union local 296. He also loved to help his family on the farm when he was able to.
Rick loved riding motorcycles, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Later in life he liked to snowmobile, still ride his motorcycle, ride the ATV and sit around a fire with good music. His absolute favourite moments were with family and friends. He loved to share stories about his adventures and had an incredible knowledge of family history. Many hours were spent doing genealogy research and contacting family members for the stories and background of both sides of his family tree. You could ask him anything and he would remember dates, locations, names. He was always tinkering, fixing things and working on equipment or vehicles and eager to show you what he had done. One of his biggest projects was building a quonset in his yard. He was proud of the work he had done with his home and yard. That was his happy place. He loved nothing more than when the family would have gatherings with all his kids, grandkids and extended family. He also spent time watching the Saskatchewan Roughrider games along with football, he loved to watch curling and baseball.
Rick had 5 Children, Brenda (Rod), Patrice (Brooks), Keith (Krista), Bev (Wally), & Brandon. 11 grandchildren, Jennifer (Justin), Blaid, Josh, Mason, Quinn, Andra, Brad, Charles, Milaina, Bobby Jo, Naomi. 2 great grandchildren, Jayden, Sophia.
