Harold Leigh Laycock was born on June 26, 1954 to Glen and Joyce Laycock, their first born son. Lee was educated at Pearly school in the RM of Saltcoats and then his high school years were spent in Yorkton at the Regional High School. After Lee finished school, he began his building moving career and soon it would turn into a family business L&M Building Movers.
When the time was right, Leigh changed his career and became a sawmill owner in northern Saskatchewan around Hudson Bay. The wood was a passion for Leigh and in time he would make many beautiful pieces. Lee made all the cupboards in his and Brenda‘s home.
Leigh married the love of his life, Brenda on July 20, 2002. Together they worked in the sawmill building a firm foundation for a life for themselves. As time passed, they sold the sawmill and made their home together in Bredenbury. As Leigh wasn’t the kind of guy that just sat around, he then began working for Hruska Farms. The farm work was also a passion for Leigh as he was a farm boy at heart. He worked for Hruska Farms for 15 years until his retirement in the fall of 2025.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Brenda and stepdaughter, Crystal Graham, and also five other stepchildren Chris Allary, Michael Allary, Donovan Allary, Sean Allary, Krystal Taylor and daughter, Lindsay Shewchuk.
Lee was predeceased by his father Glen Lake Koch, his mother-in-law Kalletta Miskolczi, and father-in-law John Miskolczi and his brother-in-law David Miskolczi.
