Obituary of Beverley Byers

The family of Beverley Byers of Regina, formerly of Yorkton, sadly announce her passing on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. She was 66 years of age.

Bev Krochak Byers was born on May 5, 1960, in Yorkton, SK, to John and Anastasia “Nellie” (nee Berladyn) Krochak. She passed away on May 5, 2026, at the William Booth - Salvation Army Special Care Home in Regina, SK, after a cancer diagnosis and lengthy illness. Bev was at the Pasqua Hospital for about five months, then transferred to William Booth.

Bev attended Angus Spice School in Yorkton, as well as the Yorkton Regional High School. She then took a business course and received her broker’s licence. She worked in Edmonton and Calgary for a few years, then moved to Yorkton where she worked for Knight Archer in Yorkton, transferring to the Regina branch of Knight Archer, where she worked for the rest of her career.

Bev was predeceased by her parents; brothers Gerald Krochak, Stan Krochak and Tom Krochak; nephews Randy Reese and Dwayne Krochak; nieces Cheryl Reese and Christen Henry; and brother-in-law Len Haller.

Bev is survived by her siblings: sister Verna Dobko of Yorkton, SK; Marion Haller of Spruce Grove, AB; Bill (Sovilla) Krochak of Washington, Iowa; and Don Krochak of Winnipeg, MB; sister-in-law’s Liz Adam of Yorkton, SK, and Sharon Krochak of Winnipeg, MB; along with nieces, nephews, and extended family.  

A Family Funeral Service was held. Memorial donations in memory of Beverley Byers may be made to the William Booth Special Care Home or the Canadian Cancer Society as gifts of remembrance. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bailey's Funeral Home and Cremation Care.
