Obituary of Teena Young
The family of Teena Young is deeply saddened to announce her passing on May 31, 2026.
Teena was born on July 18, 1982, in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, to Rodney Young (deceased 2007) and Linda Kuyek (Bodnar) of Martensville, Saskatchewan.
Although Teena left us far too soon, she lived her life to the fullest and touched countless hearts during her time with us. She had a generous spirit and was always willing to help others in any way she could. Teena was known for offering thoughtful advice and giving selflessly, even when she had little for herself. She truly had a heart of gold.
Teena cherished time spent with her family and friends, including those who became like family to her. She especially loved her children and treasured every moment with her grandchildren, Bradley and Sasha. Her greatest pride and accomplishment in life was being a devoted mother and grandmother.
She also had a deep love for music and art. No matter her mood, there was always a song that reflected how she felt. Teena enjoyed spending time playing online games and had a playful sense of humor, often finding joy in life’s simple pleasures. She created many memories that will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Teena will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Linda Kuyek (Bodnar); her children, Jessica Young (Chris Toews), Amie Martin, Amber Martin, and Jocelyn Young; her grandson Bradley and granddaughter Sasha; her brothers, Dave, Dennis, and Michael; and her sister, Janet.
She will also be remembered by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
Teena was predeceased by her husband, Vincent Martin (2014); her son, Jason Martin (2024); her father, Rodney Young (2007); and stepfather, Mike Kuyek (2019); and her grandparents, Vernon and Matilda Young, and Pearl Nowicki and Alex Bodnar, as well as several aunts and uncles.
In accordance with Teena’s wishes, no formal service will be held.
