Obituary of Anna Mandziak
The family of Anna Mandziak, beloved wife of Elvin Mandziak, sadly announces her passing on June 20, 2026. She was 81 years of age.
Prayers will be held on Friday, June 26 at 8:30pm from St. Henry's Roman Catholic Church in Melville.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 27 at 1:00pm from St. Henry's Roman Catholic Church in Melville.
Anna Mandziak was born on December 18, 1944, a daughter to Paul and Anna (nee Yuristy) Potoroka in the Goodeve District of Saskatchewan.
Anna walked to school from home first she attended Stray School from the age of 7 years to 14 years then was bused to Hubbard School. While attending school Anna helped on the family farm.
On July 7, 1970 Anna was united in marriage to Elvin Mandziak at Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church in Ituna. The couple resided in Yorkton for 2 to 3 years then moved to Regina. While in Regina Anna was employed for 27 years as a caretaker at the SK Tel Building on 11th and Lorne Street. In 2007 Anna and Elvin moved to Melville and 11 month ago moved back to Regina.
Anna was an active member of St. Athanasius Church and was involved in making cabbage rolls and pierogies for the church.
Her special hobbies were sewing and book puzzles.
Anna entered her eternal rest suddenly on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at the age of 81 years.
Predeceased by her parents, Paul and Anna Potoroka; her siblings; in-laws, John and Caroline Mandziak.
Anna leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband Elvin of 55 years; daughters; Teena and her daughter Gloria; Carrie and her friend (Frank Serfas); sister, Rose and brother, Mike (niece Bonnie); sister-in-law, Iris; brothers –in-law, Ernie and Dave.
