Obituary of Adrianne Walsh
It is with profound sadness that the family of Adrianne Denise Walsh announces her passing on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at the Regina General Hospital at the age of 63. Adrianne passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and her closest friend, whose hands she held until the very end.
Adrianne was born on March 13, 1963, in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, to Raymond and Sylvia (Achtemichuk) Bilous. She was the eldest of two daughters and grew up with the strong values of hard work, kindness, and family that would guide her throughout her life.
Adrianne first married Bruce Peppler, and together they built their family in the Village of Rhein. On July 7, 2001, she married the love of her life, Craig Walsh. Together they created a beautiful life founded on love, trust, and unwavering support. Craig was her greatest partner, and she was his rock. Together they built a close-knit family and a legacy of love that Adrianne was incredibly proud of.
A remarkably hardworking and self-sufficient woman, Adrianne dedicated herself to everything she did. She worked for many years at the Lucky Dollar Store in Rhein before following in her mother Sylvia's footsteps by taking over the custodial duties at Rhein School and later Yorkdale Central School. This is where Adrianne discovered her true calling in education. She became an Educational Assistant with the Good Spirit School Division. After 25 years with the Division, she retired in January 2024, leaving behind a career she truly loved. Retirement gave her and Craig the opportunity to begin checking off their travel dreams together, with Montana becoming the first of what they hoped would be many adventures.
Adrianne took immense pride in her home and was known for her love of cleanliness and keeping everything just right. She approached life with care, dedication, and attention to detail in everything she did.
Above all else, Adrianne's greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mom, and an incredibly proud Baba. She was always just a phone call away, offering advice, encouragement, or simply a listening ear. No matter what her children needed, she would drop everything to be there for them. Her grandchildren filled her heart with immeasurable pride, and she never missed an opportunity to share a story or show off a new photo. She also lovingly cared for her father, always making sure those she loved were looked after.
Adrianne had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome. She will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, intelligence, beautiful smile, and generous heart. She also had a wonderfully sassy and stubborn side, paired with a quick wit and an unforgettable sense of humor. To know Adrianne was truly to love her.
She found happiness in life's simple pleasures. She loved spending time at the river with Craig, especially fishing with their dear friends Ross and Bertie. She enjoyed music, flowers, reading, crafting, shopping—especially for shoes—baking in her kitchen, and playing cards and games with family and friends. She loved helping Taylor in the garden and never missed an opportunity to cheer on her grandchildren, whether it was watching her grandsons play hockey at the rink or applauding Eva at gymnastics. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and she began counting down to it almost as soon as the previous holiday season had ended.
Adrianne is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Craig Walsh; her children, Jared (Coralie) Peppler, Brendan Peppler, and Taylor (Kenton) Hiduk; and her cherished grandchildren, Eva, Nate, Landon, and Blake. She is also survived by her father, Raymond Bilous; her sister, Lynda (Wes) Kreklewich; her father-in-law, Pat Walsh; her sisters-in-law, Gwen (Andrew) Dyck and Colleen Walsh (Richard); along with many nieces and nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
Adrianne is predeceased by her mother, Sylvia Bilous; her mother-in-law, Mary Walsh; and her grandparents, John and Mary Achtemichuk, and Steve and Katie Bilous.
Adrianne faced a short battle with cancer with extraordinary courage, strength, grace, and determination. Even in her most difficult days, she demonstrated remarkable resilience and unwavering love for those around her.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know and love her. She leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her love, her laughter, and the countless memories they shared together.
A Prayer Service was held on Friday, July 17, 2026, from the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre with Pastor Karen Stepko officiating. A Funeral Service was held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from Christ Lutheran Church in Rhein, with Pastor Karen Stepko officiating. Colleen Walsh and Gwen Dyck read scripture. Cyndie Landstad and Roberta Lindenbach delivered tributes. The interment followed in the Christ Lutheran Cemetery with Jared Peppler, Brendan Peppler, and Taylor Hiduk serving as urn bearers. Memorial donations may be made to the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic Patient Lodge Renewal Fund or to the Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund as gifts of remembrance.
