A memorial folder from the funeral service may be printed under the "Memories" tab, then click "Memorial Program". Annie Fedorak was born on July 22, 1926, to Alek and Mary Carek in Kaleland, Alberta. The family moved to the Kamsack area in 1928 and continued farming. After completing public school Annie worked as a farm helper until she married Steve in 1944. They moved in with Steve's parents and farmed. Annie and Steve had four children, William George who died in infancy, Rose (Alec Cherwenuk), Allen (Joan), and Les (Gail). After years of farming and several years after Steve's passing, Annie moved to Kamsack in 2000 where she made her home until her final days. Annie was very interested in learning and took advantage of many opportunities in the community. She was active in the Association for Mentally Retarded and the Red Cross, and was a tireless worker at All Saints Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Rhein where they catered to countless weddings and celebrations. After her move to Kamsack she found a new "home" with many new friends at the Parkland Evangelical Free Church. Annie was an accomplished seamstress, quilter, Easter egg writer, and perogy maker. She enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, travelling and spending time with family and friends. Even as she was losing strength, she still found energy to participate in Bible study, entertain, visit friends, and do mending and hemming. She enjoyed music, reading, doing word puzzles and building jig-saw puzzles. Annie was predeceased by her parents, husband Steve, infant son William George, infant sisters Lena and Rose, sisters Kathy Palahnuk and Mary Sojatt and brother Nick. Besides her children and their spouses, she is survived by grandchildren Christine (Ryan) Lett, Tammy (Ashton) Richter, Chantal (Sheldon) Kawalilak, Sean (Heather Tollenaar) Bennett, Caitlin Fedorak (Rick Thalheimer) and Zachary Fedorak, great-grandchildren Joshua Lett and Jayde Richter, sisters Doris Babiuk, Elizabeth Popow and Margaret (John) Chorney and many nieces and nephews. Annie will be remembered for her kindness, her quick smile and willingness to be a good friend.
