Obituary of Helen Cisaroski
CISAROSKI - Helen Cisaroski of St. Paul Lutheran Home, Melville and formerly of Goodeve, wife of the late Marion Cisaroski entered her eternal rest on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at St. Paul Lutheran Home. She was 100 years of age. Helen was born on May 1, 1913 the second child of Steve Sr. and Mary (nee Premak) Bashnick and was raised in Goodeve, Saskatchewan. On June 27, 1931 Helen was united in marriage to Marion Cisaroski at St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church in Ituna. The couple were blessed with six children, Blanche, Lavona, Louella, Richard, Marlyce and Christopher. They first farmed east of Goodeve for 14 years then purchased land north of Goodeve where they remained until 1974 and moved into Goodeve. Helen remained in her own home before moving to St. Ann's Christian Centre in Ituna where she resided for 2 years then became a resident at St. Paul Lutheran Home in Melville where she celebrated her 100th Birthday. While living in Goodeve, Helen was an active member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church and one of the founders of the Blue Bonnet Club. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, knitting, crocheting, quilting, playing cards, playing the piano and spent count-less hours watching humming birds. Predeceased by her parents Steve Sr. and Mary; husband Marion; brothers John and Steve Jr; sisters Rose, Anne and Bonnie. Helen leaves to cherish her memory her children Blanche Abello of Sedley, Lavona Sedlovitch of Goodeve, Louella Schurko of Regina, Richard (Elizabeth) Cisaroski of Selkirk, MB, Marlyce (Tom) Sherman of Palm Springs and Christopher (Lousie) Cisaroski of Port Alberni; 13 grandchildren 22 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren; brothers Fred Bashnick and Nick Bashnick of Regina and sister Kay Beriolein of Victoria, BC; as well as nieces and nephews. Arrangements were by Bailey's Funeral Home. Service Information
