Obituary of Rynold Schlechter

SCHLECHTER - Rynold Vendel Schlechter of Melville and formerly of Bangor entered his eternal rest peacefully on Friday, September 13, 2013 at the age of 82 years. Rynold was born on February 11, 1931 the sixth child of Karl and Margaret (nee Golling) Schlechter. He was born and raised on the family farm and attended school in Bangor to grade eight. After receiving his education he stayed on the farm to help his parents. Later he rented a half section of land of his own. In 1960 his father became ill and as a very devoted son he rented the family farm. After his father passed away in 1961 he continued living on the farm with his mother. Rynold enjoyed curling and was a board member of the Morris Lodge. In 1991 he married Effie Hahn of Melville. He continued farming until 1997 and moved into Melville on August 1, 2001. He was predeceased by his parent's Karl and Margaret; brothers William and Joseph; sister Margaret; sisters-in-law Irene and Maxine and brother - in-law Tony. Rynold is survived by Effie of Melville; sister Betty of Yorkton; brothers Leonard (Eva) of Yorkton, Charlie and Frank (Hilda) of Oshawa, ON; sister-in- law Doreen of Yorkton; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Arrangements were by Bailey's Funeral Home, Melville.
