Obituary of Arnold "Arnie" Boehm
The family of Arnold Boehm of Rhein, sadly announces his sudden passing on December 4, 2024. Arnie was 91 years of age.
The Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, December 12 at 1:00 p.m. from the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre with Pastor Karen Stepko of Christ Lutheran Church, Rhein officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to Christ Lutheran Church, Rhein or to the Yorkton S.P.C.A as gifts of remembrance.
For many years Arnie worked in construction at the Sask Wheat Pool and Weber’s Construction. Arnie lived and worked on the family farm with his brother Rheinhold, where he continued to live until the time of his passing.
In his earlier years, Arnie enjoyed curling and racing thoroughbred horses. Arnie was a kind and caring man, always ready to lend a hand to family and friends throughout the community.
Arnie continued to live and care for the family farm where he had his beloved horse and his constant companion, Mandy his dog.
Arnie was predeceased by his parents Dave and Molly Boehm, brothers Wilhelm, Rheinhold (Effie), Eddie (Lena), sisters Irene (Albert) Koch, Viola (John) Stricker, Florence Matechuk and Audrey Elchuk.
Arnie leaves to celebrate his life, his special friend Peggy Halliday, sisters Shirley (Bob) Gavlas, Barbie (Jim) McDougall, brother in law Barry (Mary) Elchuk, nephew Larry (Joan) Boehm and their children Rhonda (Fred) Osipoff and Craig (Chantelle) Boehm who were the family he never had as his own, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
