Logan Todd Britton passed away peacefully at the Regina Pasqua Hospital on December 9, 2024, with his family at his side. He was born March 23,1981, the eldest child of Todd and Marilyn Britton, brother to Tyler and Maegan.
Logan attended school in Yorkton at Simpson School, Yorkdale, and then graduated from the Yorkton Regional High School. He attended college at SIAST in Moose Jaw before heading out in the work world to Red Deer, Sparwood, and Calgary before returning and calling Yorkton home once again.
Logan lived a happy and active childhood. Like most kids growing up on the farm he helped when needed, preferring a tractor job over working with the “stupid” cows. The only thing he liked about a cow was how they tasted on the grill. Driving the truck home from the hayfield for Grandpa Gene was nothing for a skilled 10-year-old. Winter chores involved cleaning the horse barn and hauling firewood which he would do promptly to get back to a favorite TV show or game. There was always another level to reach with Super Mario! He enjoyed playing hockey and football and loved snowmobiling with his many friends. The wrecks were plentiful when the toboggan was hitched to the sled. He was very musical, playing the tenor saxophone in the school band and marched in the Rose Bowl Parade. He was the bass guitarist with his high school buddies in a band called Slow Motion Walter. He could sit down at the piano and play it although never taking any lessons. He always had music playing and enjoyed all genres.
In Logan’s adult life he liked to golf and played as much as time allowed. This is also when he acquired a passion for cooking. He was an amazing cook. There was always something unique on the menu when invited to Logans for supper. He was an avid smoker/griller and catered several events where his smoked meats and special sauces were always a hit. He looked forward to the annual vacation to the Blue Lakes where he found solitude and a time to recharge. He also enjoyed the ski trips to Montana and Alberta with all the family.
He was blessed with two boys, Ronin born in 2008 and Carter in 2011. The boys were his pride and joy. Winters became quite busy travelling to most hockey rinks in Saskatchewan as well as school functions. Summers were ball and soccer games, golf, and the odd fishing trip. He loved his boys fiercely. He was immensely proud of them in their achievements in school and sports and of the young men they were becoming. They share the same admirable qualities as their dad. The illness he struggled with for so many years robbed him of the life he dreamed of with them.
Logan was a friendly and sociable person who was loyal and admired and respected by all who knew him. He cared deeply how his words and actions impacted others. Family and friends were always a priority for Logan, and he always had time for a chat for anyone. He shared a special bond with each of his grandparents and especially loved to visit with them. He never forgot a birthday or special event. He had many friends both personally and through his work, this was evident in his success in the sales profession.
Logan was a deep thinker and read and studied the works of the great philosophers of the ages. He could be counted on for serious and stimulating discussions whenever, and with whoever he could.
In 2017, he met Chelsey Buchinski and they started a life together. Logan quickly fit into Chelsey’s family enjoying fishing with dad Troy and sharing a laugh after giving mother-in-law Brenda a hard time. Logan and Chelsey made a beautiful home and shared it with their beloved dogs.
Logan is predeceased by his grandparents Gene Britton; Elmer and Betty Dickson; infant nephew William Rankin; and Uncle Shaun Morin.
Logan leaves to mourn and celebrate his life his sons Ronin and Carter Britton; partner Chelsey Buchinski; parents Todd and Marilyn Britton; brother Tyler (Karli) and their daughters Kiya, Macie and Lara; sister Maegan Rankin (Craig); Grandmother Anne Britton; in-laws Troy and Brenda Buchinski; Chelsey’s sister Ashley (Brett) and their son Dax; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends..
We will forever hold a special space for Logan in our hearts. We will remember the happy times of his smile, his wit, his infectious laughter and love of family. We will miss him forever.
