Obituary of James Furber

The family of James Furber of Ituna, beloved husband of Donna Furber, sadly announce his passing on April 30, 201, He was 66 years of age. James Warren Furber was born on December 12th, 1954 at Esterhazy, Saskatchewan; a son of Constance (nee Nelson) and Sydney(Ted) Furber. James was raised in Dubuc Saskatchewan then moved to Yorkton Saskatchewan for a few years, than moved to Ituna, than moved to Melville for a few years where began working at Rail City Industries where he meant his future wife Donna Lee Janiskewich and got married in Melville and then moved back to Ituna and he since then resided. James enjoyed helping his Mum lots and whomever needed help with anything, he was always willing to lend a helping hand. James always enjoyed riding his bike in his younger years and after his health took a turn for the worse he got a scooter and enjoyed his scooter rides all over Ituna. James enjoyed visits with family and he loved cooking big meals for all his family and friends especially during the holiday seasons, and he also enjoyed baking things like buns, cookies, cakes etc. He enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, and he also liked listening to the Saturday Night get together on GX94. He enjoyed traveling and seeing the countryside, he also enjoyed watching professional wrestling on television. James always enjoyed drinking his soda especially Diet Cola, 7-Up and Sprite. One of James' favorite quotes to live by was "You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink". James passed away on Friday April 30th, 2021, at Regina General Hospital. He was 66 years of age. He was predeceased by his parents Sydney(Ted) and Constance Furber, brothers Bert, Sydney, Fred and John and his sisters Judy Nelson and Doreen Filko. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 25 years Donna Janiskewich (Furber), his sister Joan Furber of Ituna, his sister Florence Gracey of Medicine Hat, Alberta and his brother George Furber of Fort St John B.C. as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and his many other relatives and friends. A graveside memorial service will be held at a future date at Dubuc Cemetery. Service Details.
