Obituary of Pearl Victoria Hanowski

Pearl Hanowski was born May 24, 1933 at Grayson, Saskatchewan, a daughter to Martin and Anne (nee Hershmiller) Mann. The family moved to Melville where Pearl received her education at St. Henry's Roman Catholic School. Pearl worked at the Melville Theatre, Wings Café and King George Hotel as a restaurant employee. On February 8, 1953 Pearl was united in marriage to Len Goebel at Zion Lutheran Church in Melville. The couple were blessed with six children. On October 24, 1987 Pearl was married to Zacharias Hanowski at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Melville. Pearl enjoyed playing bingo, working on puzzles, baking, gardening and watching TV. Her greatest enjoyment was when her children and grandchildren came to visit. Pearl entered her eternal rest on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at St. Peter's Hospital in Melville at the age of 85 years. Predeceased by her parents, son Martin in 1961, daughter Barbara in 2012, brother Tayfield, sisters Pauline and Eva. Children: Janet (Scott) Simpson of Yorkton, SK, June (Kurt) Hein of Melville, SK, Roger Goebel (Barb Quinney) of Martensville, SK, Deceased Barbara (Tim) Matheson of Yorkton, SK and Rodney Goebel of Melville, SK; 11 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren, Nieces & their children, numerous nieces & nephews.
