Obituary of Violet Annete Janzen

It is with great sadness that the family of Violet Janzen announces her passing. She passed away June 6th, 2018 at the age of 104. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 12th 2018 at 1:00pm from the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre, with the interment to follow in the Garden of St. Matthew. It is with great sadness that the family of Violet Janzen announces her passing. She passed away at St. Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon on June 6th, 2018 at the age of 104. Violet (nee Deckert) was born at home in the Yorkton district, she was the 7th child in a family of 10, she as well had 10 half-siblings from her father. She was married to William Janzen until his death in 1985. They had two sons Lance and Wayne, the family resided in Ebenezer Saskatchewan. She later moved into Yorkton, where she had resided for the past 19 years. She spent the last 2 months of her life living in Saskatoon surrounded by her immediate family. Violet was predeceased by her son Lance Janzen. She is survived by her son Wayne (Mary) Janzen; Grandchildren: Wendy Janzen & Carla (Kevin) Halliday; Great-grandchildren: Jocelyn (Brendan) Desjarlais, Noah and Abby Halliday; as well as her Great-great-granddaughters Luna and Lily Desjarlais.
