Obituary of Bruce Dale Lamming

Bruce Dale Lamming, 58, passed away suddenly at his home in Ituna on Monday, March 26, 2018. Born January 11, 1960 in McBride, BC, Bruce was an accomplished computer programmer and a member of the Mensa society. He grew up in McBride and Lamming Mills, BC, spending time throughout Vancouver and Vernon before obtaining his computer programming degree from Devry University in Alberta. It was when he moved to Yellowknife, Northwest Territories to join his brother and sister-in-law that he met his future best friend and wife, Darlene Kowalyk. Together, they moved to Calgary, Alberta and lived throughout the province before settling in Ituna, Saskatchewan, where they raised their children. Bruce was a talented artist and guitarist, and he loved spending time with his family and having intellectual conversations with his kids, to whom he was an encouraging and invested father. Left behind to celebrate his life are his four children, Jaida, Dabin, Liam, and Bailey, two step children, Tara Wojcichowsky (nee Taylor) and Chad Taylor, Darlene, who he was with for 30 years, mother Maire Cole, sister Deirdre Lamming, and brother Barry Lamming and his family. Pre-deceased are his father Dale Lamming and his grandparents. Bruce's family will come together in an intimate gathering during the summer of 2018 to share memories of their beloved father, husband, son, and brother, and to celebrate his life and how lucky they are to have been in it. He will be greatly missed, thought of often, and never forgotten.
