Obituary of Eugene Theodore Feduk
Eugene Theodore Feduk of Birmingham, Saskatchewan passed away suddenly on Friday, March 9, 2018, at St. Peter's Hospital in Melville, following an unexpected illness. Eugene was born July 24, 1944, in Melville, Saskatchewan. He was a son of William and Alice (nee Halyk) Feduk. Eugene grew up and helped with work on the family farm in Birmingham. Eugene received his elementary education at Wilton School, which later became Birmingham School. He attended Melville High School and studied agriculture for three years of post-secondary education at the University of Saskatchewan. After attending university, he worked for Canadian National telecommunications. Later he went to work in the oil field as a tool push becoming a senior rig manager, and eventually becoming a consultant on the drilling rigs in Alberta. When he met Brenda Manske, his former girlfriend while working rigs, Eugene took her young son Randy Ferrier under his wing and raised him as his own. As Randy grew older, they stayed very close, and when he spoke of Randy, he always beamed with pride. When he retired from consulting, he returned to Birmingham and continued to work on the farm. He is predeceased by his father and mother William (1987) and Alice (1973); Sister-in-law Judy Feduk (2013); Nephew Guy Ouellette (2009). Eugene is survived by his son Randy (Diane) Ferrier and their children Dawson and Natalie; brothers Dennis and Morris Feduk; Nieces Dianne Ouellette and Allison Feduk; great-niece Madison Ouellette and great-nephew Alexander Ouellette and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins. Memorial donations may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Canada (for his love of children), an animal rescue of your choice (for his love of animals), or the Birmingham Orthodox Cemetery (for his love of ancestry).
