Obituary of Irene Pearl McClure

Irene Pearl McClure (Korinetz) was born to Harold and Christina Hilliar on April 14, 1931, in Tugaske, SK, she was one of ten children- Alec, Earl, Joe, Murial, Helen, Marge, Elizabeth, Rosalind, and Violet. As a young woman she worked in the Ituna bar for many years. In 1949 she married Joseph Korinetz and together they raised their three boys Donald, Brian and Kelvin on their farm four miles south of Ituna. They were married for 27 years until Joe passed away on March 1, 1976. Irene married Sam McClure in 1978. They moved into the town of Ituna where they spent many years together. Sam passed away on April 9, 2010. Irene loved gardening, she spent many hours tending to her garden, where she could grow pretty much anything. She loved sharing all of her vegetables and fruits with everyone and we all enjoyed eating them. Whatever she was unable to give away, she was sure to can. She was a great cook and baker and loved to entertain. She always had a full spread out whenever you would visit, you always left her house with a few extra pounds. She loved playing cards with her many friends in Ituna, especially 3 spot. She loved her weekend visits with her family. One of her greatest passions was her trips up north at Jan Lake; she reeled in many fish, then would get back to the cabin and make the best fish fry you would ever eat. She always enjoyed these trips and spending quality time with her family. Her greatest joy was her family, her three boys, her daughter-in-laws, her 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was always beaming from ear to ear when all her family was out visiting in Ituna. Spending the weekend, playing cards, eating all her yummy veggies and fruits from her garden. Family was her pride, she would do anything for them, she was always happiest surrounded by family. She lived a full but hard life with the loss of her first husband Joe, her youngest son Kelvin and her second husband Sam. She was always a hard worker, and always put everyone before herself, she had a heart of gold and everyone knew you could count on her for anything. She later moved to Regina to be closer to her family. She moved in and out of a few places but spent her final 6 months living with her son Brian and daughter-in-law Elaine. Predeceased by her parents Harold and Christina, first husband Joseph, son Kelvin, second husband Sam, brothers Earl and Joe and sisters Murial and Marge.
