Obituary of Leonard Burant

Leonard Bronislow Burant was born on November 23, 1934 on the family farm in the R.M. Of Cana, the youngest of six children to Vincent and Pearl (nee Chesney) Burant. Leonard obtained his education at Happy Home School, following which he continued to stay on the farm and work alongside of his father. He continued to farm until his move to Melville. Following the move he continued to work as a farm labourer. Leonard enjoyed travelling and visited New Zealand, Austria, Hawaii, and spent a few winters as a "snow birder" in the southern USA and Victoria, B.C. He had a great passion for fishing and enjoyed many seasons of fishing and camping with friends at The Lake of the Prairies. He enjoyed the comradery of "coffee row" and took every chance he had to get out and visit with friends. He had a great sense of humor and was always appreciative of visits with family and friends. Leonard is predeceased by both of his parents, Vincent and Pearl; his sister, Beatrice; brothers, Ambrose, Delphin and Anthony; brother-in-law, Charles Bradley; sisters-in-law, Olga Burant and Rose Burant; as well as, a special friend, Rosie Bascu. He leaves to mourn his brother, Henry (Violet) Burant, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. For the last five years Leonard resided at 7th & Main, he definitely made it his home and cherished everyday spent with staff and residents. Special thanks to his friends at 7th & Main, and David and Bev, for their love and kindness. Leonard Bronislow Burant was born on November 23, 1934 on the family farm in the R.M.
