Obituary of Lars 'Speedy' Larson

Lars Roy (Speedy) Larson was born August 28, 1928 in Hudson Bay, Sk. He died January 19, 2018 in Langenburg, Sk. Roy was predeceased by his wife Irene, his parents Lars and Bessie Larson; sons Francis, Daniel and Kevin; brothers Les, Alvin, Jim, Bob, Ron, and Bill; sisters Doreen, Viola Gregorash and Barbara Janett; granddaughter Jessica Larson and daughter-in-law Debbie Larson. Roy is survived by his children: Doug Larson, Susan Pritchard, Leith (Laurie) Larson, Rae (Leonard) MacDonald, grandchildren Bill, Bonnie, Rick, Jason, Colin, Tom, Ben, Kevin, Kim and Cindy, great grandchildren Mathew, Liam, Jessica, Austin, and Sofia, brother-in-law Peter Janett, and sisters-in-law Diane, Kathy, and Rita. The funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 from the Churchbridge Community Hall. with Doreen Day officiating. Music was provided by Leonard Varga, who sang 'Blest Are They', 'Precious Lord, Take My Hand', and Go Rest High on That Mountain'. The interment followed in the Churchbridge Cemetery with Bill Larson, Bonnie Larson, Cindy MacDoanld, Jason Bot, Colin Bot and Kim Norgaard serving as the casketbearers.
